Pangkil is only hired out as a whole. It is not possible to rent individual driftwood palaces. Our pricing assumes a minimum of 10 adults per trip.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
The accommodation cost covers just about everything. Three meals per day are provided (ie 6 meals for a 3 Day/2 Night weekend) and full use of all the facilities is included. Land transport across Bintan (from Tanjung Pinang) is also covered, as is the Pangkil launch from the port of Kijang to the island, but this is limited to one return trip per group. Also included are the following:

• All taxes. There is no +++ system (ie no additional GST, VAT or other sales or hotel taxes)
• Welcome drinks
• Three meals per day. Everyone loves our food ! You can eat as much as you like !
• All coffee, tea and bottled water
• Unlimited snacks
• Use of any of the driftwood palaces (all towels and linen are supplied) including the Tree House
• Use of the fabulous fresh-water pool
• Full use of the volleyball court, Lasers (sailing dinghies), sea kayaks & snorkelling equipment
• Evening beach bonfires

We will supply bait and organize fishing trips, picnics on neighbouring islands or a sunset cruise, all at no extra cost.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
We do NOT include a 10% service charge in our final bill to you on the island. Should you wish to leave a gratuity in appreciation of our staff's service, our Island Manager will divide it up equally and distribute to all of our (approximately) 25 staff members.

SEASONS
We have two seasons:
Standard Season is the months of January, February, March, April, May and December
High Season is June, July, August, September, October, November

BASIC RATES
When you hire Pangkil, you are hiring the whole island. There will be no other paying guests on the island. As such the basic rates are our minimum charges, which apply for 1 to 10 people. There are additional charges for adults and children if there are more than 10 people in your group.

A weekend is normally defined as a Friday and Saturday night stay. We will sometimes allow a weekend stay of two other nights, say Thursday & Friday or Saturday & Sunday. In both cases, these nights would be charged at the weekend rates.

The rates below apply to residents of Singapore who are generally regulars and known to us. Please ask for our International and Corporate packages.

All prices in this document are in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

WEEKEND RATES - STANDARD SEASON (January, February, March, April, May and December)
Pangkil is rented out at S$5,900 for a 3 Day/2 Night weekend for 1 to 10 people. So if you rent Pangkil for a weekend during our Standard Season, it will cost a minimum of S$5,900 for the weekend regardless of whether there are 2 people or 10 people in your group. This rate applies to the months of January, February, March, April, May and December. There are additional charges for adults and children if there are more than 10 people in your group.

WEEKEND RATES - HIGH SEASON (June, July, August, September, October, November)
Pangkil is rented out at S$6,800 for a 3 Day/2 Night weekend for 1 to 10 people, during June, July, August, September, October and November. There are additional charges for adults and children if there are more than 10 people in your group.

WEEKDAY RATES - YEAR-ROUND
Weekday rates generally apply to Sunday to Thursday nights inclusive (with the exception of public holidays). Pangkil is rented out at S$2,500 per night for 1 to 10 people. The minimum stay is two nights. There are additional charges for adults and children if there are more than 10 people in your group.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY RATES
Chinese New Year, Easter, Christmas and New Year are rented out at S$3,500 per day for 1 to 10 people. All other public holidays are charged at the prevailing weekend rates. There are additional charges for adults and children if there are more than 10 people in your group.

INCREMENTAL RATES
For groups larger than 10 people we are delighted to offer a sliding scale of discounted rates. The more adults you have on the island, the cheaper it becomes (per adult) !

ADULTS (DEFINED AS OLDER THAN 12 YEARS)
Weekends:
$400 each, for an adult staying only for one night
$200 each, for the 11th to 15th adult, per night (based on a two-night stay)
$175 each, for the 16th to 20th adult, per night (based on a two-night stay)
$150 each, for the 21st adult onwards, per night (based on a two-night stay)
Weekdays:
$175 each, for the 11th to 15th adult, per night
$150 each, for the 16th adult onwards, per night

CHILDREN (DEFINED AS 3 TO 12 YEARS OLD)
Weekends:
$100 per night
Weekdays:
$75 per night

INFANTS (DEFINED AS UNDER 3 YEARS OLD)
Free of charge

MAIDS
$100 per night (weekends & weekdays). Please note that we do not provide separate maids’ accommodation. You will have to factor them into your accommodation plans.

BABYSITTING
We are from time to time able to provide up to four babysitters between the hours of 7pm and 11pm. The cost is $20 per baby for this time (or part thereof).

DISCOUNTS
Discounts for long stays (a week for example) may be possible subject to negotiation.

DAY TRIPS
It is possible to arrange a midweek day trip to inspect the island. This costs S$500 (for a maximum of four people) and is refundable against the cost of a trip, if a subsequent booking is made.

DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY
Our deposit policy is typically as follows:

• If you cancel outside of 60 days, you get your deposit back*
• If you cancel between 30 days and 60 days, you get it back* if we can fill the slot
• Within 30 days, it is not refundable

For public holidays and weekends for which there is strong demand, our refund policy is:

• If you cancel outside of 90 days, you get your deposit back*
• If you cancel between 60 days and 90 days, you get it back* if we can fill the slot
• Within 60 days, it is not refundable

We reserve the right to not refund the deposit if the booking and cancellation were acts of bad faith.

(* please note that there is a non-refundable administration & processing fee of S$200 in the event of a deposit being returned)

EXTRA MEALS
There may be an extra meal charge. For example, a group arriving before lunch on a Friday and leaving after lunch on a Sunday eats 7 meals, however only 6 meals are included in the 3D/2N package; hence there would be an additional charge. Extra meals are charged as follows:
Adults - $15 each; Children - $10 each

EXTRA TRANSPORT
Included in the basic rate is one return tip on the Pangkil launch and the Pangkil bus (from Tanjung Pinang). If the entire group arrives and leaves together there are no additional charges. For additional (single-direction) journeys, there is a S$200 charge for each launch & land-transport trip. This applies regardless of the number of people in the 2nd (or 3rd etc) trip, ie it is not a per person charge. It is up to the group organiser to determine how the cost of additional trips is split amongst the entire party.

MASSAGES
The price is S$20 per person and the duration ranges from 45 minutes to an hour. A minimum of six massages need to be booked (for a given day) before we are able to bring the masseuse from Bintan.

FIREWORKS
Subject to availability. Please enquire about the cost when on the island.

WEDDINGS
We offer a wedding package of S$2,000 which includes a celebrant, flowers, decorations and so on. Please ask for the details.

MARINA FEES
We allow yachts to moor at Pangkil if they are part of a group which has booked the island. There are currently no direct fees for the mooring, however we charge S$100 per day per adults and S$50 per day per child to use the island and join the main group for meals, provided they are sleeping on the yacht.

CABLE (STAR) TV
We do not provide television reception on the island. The majority of our guests prefer it this way. For special events (Olympics, World Cup Soccer etc) we are able to arrange for a temporary installation at a cost of $400 for the weekend.

PRICING TABLES
Our pricing is meant to be transparent and easy to calculate. We generally do not quote or otherwise calculate the cost for your proposed group at the time of booking as most groups change in size before landing on the island. We will calculate the final total of the accommodation component for you 1 week before your trip if required and we'll present you with a final invoice (including drinks) on the island at the end of your stay. We encourage you to calculate your own totals and are happy to check your calculations at any stage. We have included a spreadsheet which totals the incremental charges for additional children and additional adults which may help you with your calculations.
