| Pulau Pangkil Kecil is our exclusive
tropical island resort located close to the equator.
Pangkil is a private island and is only rented out as
a whole. It is not possible to rent the individual houses
(which we call 'Driftwood Palaces') Pangkil is the perfect
‘bucket and spade’ weekend for families
with children. It is also well-suited to corporate team-building
events and retreats. The island is ideal for couples
looking for a romantic hideaway as well as being the
place to celebrate a birthday, a wedding or anything
else ! |
 |
| Pangkil offers nine elegant, detached
driftwood palaces, all of which have unobstructed sea
views. None are more than five paces from the beach.
We have a perfect blend of luxury and simplicity —
even the tree house has a four-poster bed, fans and
electric lights. Pangkil can accommodate between ten
and thirty people in comfort, catered for by over twenty
staff. |

Guests about to travel to Pangkil please note: Pangkil charges corkage for alcohol taken to the island. Indonesian customs officials are currently enforcing the '1 bottle per person rule' (or else you'll have to pay duty). Note that if you have 10 people in your group and 10 bottles of alcohol you will need 10 receipts, as they are pedantically interpreting the current laws.
Tanjung Pinang now allows Visas on Arrival. This started on 1 August 2005. We stongly urge all guests to travel from Singapore to TP and back (rather than travel via Lagoi). Additionally, the Government of Indonesia relaxed the requirements slightly: More nationalities are now eligible for Visas on Arrival AND a US$10 Visa now lasts for 7 days. For more information please visit our VISAS page under the GROUP ORGANIZERS section.

| Pangkil is in Indonesia and easily
accessible from Singapore by fast ferry. |
 |
 |
| Pangkil lies off the coast of Pulau
Bintan which is the largest island in the Riau Province
Archipelago and is bigger than Singapore. Singapore's
Changi Airport is by far the easiest entry point to
the region although there is also an international airport
on the other big island in the group, Pulau Batam. The
islands are all remarkably close. Batam for example
can be seen from Singapore. |

 |
| When
you hire Pangkil, the entire island, all the facilities
indicated as well as the entire compliment of staff,
are at your disposal. A slow amble from the northern-most
part of the island (the pool) to the white-sand swimming
beach at the south takes about 10 minutes. |
